The Idea I had was to do black (main colour) and copper ascents?!?! what's peoples thoughts on this???
Here are some examples of what I mean... I couldn't find exactly what I wanted - which is good, itll mean no other defender is like it...!! So this is the amount of copper id be going for, minimal ascents.. Not a LR but again, minimal touches.. Click image to enlarge The back/sides would look like these, but reverse colours.. Go for the full monty. 24 carat gold plated. That will turn eyes.

The last time we were in London we were passing the Dorchester and noticed a FFRR and a Maserati both fully wrapped in shining gold. We noticed them later in the day razzing around the streets driven by middle Eastern Gentlemen. Definitely not my cup of tea but then again if you like to be noticed.......

The missus saw the RR and without knowing what the post was about... She said 'that's awful'.
I agree. |

"24 carat gold plated"
The logo/headed paper of a company for which I did a bit of creative accountancy was gold and black, the guv'nor ordered his gold-coloured Rolls with a black vinyl roof (our driver had Rolls Royce tuition, and was entitled to wear a black plume in his cap. Yes, he was also obliged to wear a grey uniform with knee-high black boots which says everything about my boss). It looked like a Mark III Cortina! Not to be outdone, his partner (not the "silent" gypsy scrap metal merchant who needed to whitewash money, the other one) had the bright metal on his Bentley gold plated. HIS driver wasn't allowed to leave it parked, during meetings he had to stay with it at all times or drive it round and round. On a truck? I don't think so... Black Is The New Black. Peter |

Java black is a great colour for a defender (I have one) it would look trashy. 2016 Defender Landmark 90

As alternative to black with copper or gold, maybe try this colour palette?

Someone once said 'Defenders look wrong if it's not a factory colour', I agree.
(Edited several times so not to cause offence ) |
