Inventive corner
Following on from my 200 tdi timing belt failure (just glad it did not happen whilst towing my caravan) and myself now getting paranoid about another such thing happening again. I wonder has any ever thought of fabricating an inspection panel into the timing cover case? That could be screwed off to inspect potential wear? 1990 200tdi conversion 90

The 300Tdi does have one. I'm not that familiar with the 200 but you usually get warning by getting black fluff from the belt if you go poking around the wading / drain plug. Ed
