Insurance has gone up, although mine was a lot less than that - but still more than the year before despite more no claims and no additional changes.
Our other cars havent really gone down either - although we did get the prices down...we are older with more/the same no claims and licence longer, no points etc Try Adrian Flux Mike |

You may get a lead in these threads. There are numerous others but too dated to be of any real use to you. Adrian Flux 'did it for me!' A few people's experiences good and bad herein:

Cheers for the links!
Just on with Adrian Flux at the moment (speaking to Rosie, who is without doubt the friendliest person I've ever spoken to regarding to insurance!!!), but from phoning around it seems that due to the fact that scrubbers keep stealing Defenders from round here that's what pushed the prices up! Some companies won't even insure anything in my postcode as its rural! But still £1200 with Adrian Flux |

I start to understand why they steal that much Land Rovers in Warren's area. The insurance is to expensive to buy a Land Rover.
So It's the insurance companies fault that there are that much Land Rovers stolen. Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

Hahahah Roel I think you hit the nail on the head there!
Had a notice stuck to the windscreen when I was parked up in Hebden Bridge (about 10 miles away) a few months back from the police advising that Defenders were being targeted by thieves. There seems to be a bit of an insurance fraud issue round this area. Apparently you can't get a traders policy anymore as there was a spate of people taking policies out, letting their kids borrow M5's and Range Rover Sport's and trashing them. Used to see a RRS driven like it was stolen (probably was) by someone who looked like he'd just left school. Unfortunately my postcode falls in the same area this was going on in, despite living out of the way in the country. I don't suppose it helps that some farmers just park their Landys up in a barn or farmyard and don't bother locking them. Managed to get £580 from Swiftcover, strangely it goes down when I put my mother on as a named driver! Insurance eh? |

Anyone got a room to rent in an area of the country that isn't a rife with insurance fraud? |
