When you hear the fuel pump because it's above the diesel level then you have about 10 miles of very economical driving left 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Do they have a thin arm with a float at the end? If so I wonder if some are bent out of spec on initial installation?

I have seen one fitted, and it didn't seem like it should get bent whilst fitting, unless the person fitting was being very heavy handed and in a rush... Regards

110 DCPU. Lifted, cage, sliders etc.. heavily tuned.
Average 21 - 23mpg country lanes and motorway. Best ive had was 24mpg worst was a whopping 16mpg was really hooning it That said in my old 90 - half cage, sliders, mapped with a highrr ratio 5th regularly returned 33 - 35mpg on motorway runs. Granted my 90 was A LOT lighter than my 110 is but Ill still be going for a higher 5th soon as possible. Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

I hear my diesel pump long before that point According to fuellog, my last 5 fillups have been 23, 24, 24, 19, 19. Grafty, I feel like your driving style is probably similar to mine! Lifted, standard tune, straight thru centre (which I do love to hear), higher 5th gear and mixed roads. |

I think that the TD5 is about 3mpg more economical than the TDCi
My friend has a 110 TDCi and he gets around 23mpg where l get a fairly constant 26mpg from my 110 TD5 in similar driving. Remapped TDCi seem to do better though. |

Hi all, found this video about fuel usage and working out true mpg..
He talks about how larger tyres effect the odometer and speedo - apparently showing a lower speed than actually doing... Very interesting so far and only half way through. Just had to share with you all and get you thoughts on this? Regards Adam Loving The Duchess The Defender 110 TD5 XS My Defender story - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic64005.html |

I have a gps speedo.. 4.6 V8 auto, I'd be surprised if it made it into double figures or in the teens. But I'm not too bothered.
The daily has an eco mode, but I drive that in sport mode and gets 24-28mpg. So I think that's good. My td5's always seemed to be around 28-30mpg. Regardless of 90-110, roof rack or not. |

Hey bud, Are you using an app for your mileage? I worked out mine to be about 20mpg, but if I could run an app to keep track that would be better than a folded up piece of paper in my wallet Regards Adam Loving The Duchess The Defender 110 TD5 XS My Defender story - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic64005.html |
