So... Normal position and no drive, difflock engaged and drive. Non mention of grinding noises so unlikely to be CV joints, diffs or propshafts.
Could be;
Half shaft snapped Flange striped its splines Any of these could have gone on any wheel. With transfer box not in difflock and hand brake off (chock wheels). Jack a wheel off the ground, rotate it looking for non-normal movement or grinding noises. The propshaft should rotate as well, so if it doesn't you have found your problem. Replacing the half shaft and/or drive flanges are an easy DIY job and shouldn't take more than an hour to do. Let us know how you get on. |

The quickest way to diagnose is (with the help of an assistant) apply the footbrake firmly, make sure that the diff is NOT locked and that the handbrake is released, engage a gear and let in the clutch. Get the assistant to tell you which propshaft (front or rear) is rotating. Whichever is rotating is at the end with the failed halfshaft.
It is most likely to be a failure of the rear offside (right hand side) halfshaft/drive flange splines. |

^^^^ When I swapped my rear halfshafts over and flanges, it was the one that Blackwolf mentions above that was most worn of them all.

It is unfortunately the front Is it possible to remove the front propshaft and drive with it localy until the parts are in? |

Possible but not advisable since there will still be rotating parts in the front axle and therefore there remains the possibility of one or both front wheels locking solid. I would only drive it in this state to get home, or if my life depended on it, and then at reduced speed.

Thank you. think somting is broken in the joint. I am to afraid to damage even more. So ordered new HD halfshafts, joints and air lockers at Ashcroft, for an upgrade

this moring I started to look at the problem..
