Make sure the CV joint and halfshaft are pulled fully into the stub axle (outwards)

Also make sure you have the top and bottom bearing races in correctly. The races look the same however are very different and can easily be put in the wrong end. You can assemble it as if normal but it will not function properly. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

Many thanks for your replies, I bolted the stub axle back on and pulled the cv joint fully into
the stub axle as Steve suggested and the whole thing moved smoothly, lock to lock. I would not have thought of making that adjustment untill I was putting on the cir clip and spacers after fitting the drive flange. Everyday is a school day as they say Many thanks again Kenny |
