great work.....making me jealous for your shiny new bits.
Maybe I should have gone for a new bulkhead as well but the pounds wouldn't stretch that far - hope its not something I regret in the future. From comparing your pictures with mine...….need grommets where the loom enters the chassis!! Click image to enlarge Hoping for completion on mine pre christmas 2000 D2 TD5 - ahhh bless 2006 D3 - no longer with us and sadly missed 1997 300tdi d90 - now with electrics that work! - now with a brand new custom made soft top fitted …...…...............….new chassis now all fixed and driving like new 2010 D4 alas no more, but a lovely colour (Nara) 2016 D4 battery magically fixed with NOCO charger |

Cheers Adam and Clayton Fingers crossed I'll make some good progress next week
Yes Frenchy, I'd whack a grommit in there if I were you, or you'll have to change your profile to 1997 300tdi d90 - with no rear lights The bulkhead in mine is the original. I got 2 new footwells and feet welded in, then sent it for cleaning, blasting and galvanising, think the £400 bill was worth it for the longevity. Must add learning to weld to my list when I get time Fingers crossed for your pre Xmas finish, look forward to seeing it done Cheers Fat Baron, glad you like the project so far , feel free to tap me up for advise whenever you like, I'm sure there are plenty of other brilliant minds on here that'll help out too Cheers Laurie 90 rebuild thread - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62909.html |
