WOW Shocked
That's some list. And some good ideas..
Perhaps I should put something together myself - always get confused with all the stuff I want to add, change, adjust, and make better. Regards

First MOT due Friday,

Little bit worried, nothing in particular, just first time on defender...

Did my checks as per the pre MOT thread,

Chassis is in Alright condition for 15 years, but that could soon deteriorate, so i think i'll have it taken back and dinitrolled.

One odd thing whats this hanging thing from the bottom of my second axle?

Not sure what's hanging down, it looks like to me, either a cable tie or you have got a cling on Rolling Eyes 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

thanks both.

It is regretful that it is going to cost me a lot of money... because it passed! Yay!

In good nick for 90000 Miles and 15 years, "Much better than Some TDCIs with a third of the mileage!"

Slight leak on rear diff though!

Woe unto Woe.

Sorted out the strikers on my doors today, better than usual, bit of a pain when all the spacers are missing on the 2nd row, 2Pence peices to the rescue.

Unfortunately uncovered the nearside second row central locking and manual lock wasn't working. Had to tear the door card off to get at the actual mechanism.

Not an easy job, unlike the front. Especially when the heavens open up. At least she locks now.

Also Painted the rear crossmember in rustoleum straight to rust.

Also notices one of my rear door hinge pins is missing... I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

After having my car serviced and finding out i need a new ABS unit it also came to the attention of my guy that the rear brake pads were wrong.

Apparently they come in Two thicknesses and i require the thicker of the two but i have the thinner of the two, so i only have 1mm of working pad left before they're completely worn and have no contact...

I also have a leak on my rear diff apex seal...

On the plus side my window wiper jets are now functional I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/
