I fitted my "summer" SVX alloys with KL71's and made a real mess of draining fuel filter, the small drain broke off and the filter was siezed on to the filter head, took some removing and the design is terrible, no thread but a rock solid 3 lugs to locate filter to the head... ANOTHER CRAP DESIGN. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Gave it a good wash and wax
Then went for a drive in the sunshine and nearly got it dirty because of this tool: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge What the photo's don't show is by how much the top skip is sliding about on the bottom one, and those eagle eyed members will note the top skip isn't held on by anything |

Had a new windscreen fitted after getting a 2" hole punched into the old one thanks to a bolt dropping off a truck. Amazed at the amount of water trapped behind the rubber - it has not rained for days.

I bought some stable matting for the rear but it weighs a TON then remembered I had a scruffy TD5 rear mat in the shed so cleaned it and cut it to fit & job done for a while
Also found a rear mat for a SAAB 900 up to K reg if anyone needs one. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Bob, how do you feel Autoglass (or whoever did the work) sealed your new windscreen? As we know the windscreen rubber seal is a weak point and a source of water ingress. I wonder how beneficial it would be for any of us to coincidentally have bolts fall off the back of lorries, meaning that we could get new glass sealed in properly just for the cost of our glass excess (usually free to about £75) |

I've got a nasty stone chip in mine and not sure if it's damaged the heating element. I assume insurance companies don't normally take the "we don't cover heated screens, sir" stance???
It could possibly be plugged and filled, but if the element is damaged, may as well just get a new one fitted? Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |
