Just DO it...
Whilst changing my wheels yesterday i decided to drain my fuel filter... the knurled nut was extemely stiff and i could see gunge dripping so i thought i would remove the filter to drain off the crud... big mistake, it was siezed on solid from over winter salt and had to destroy it to get it off. Unlike the TD5 filter it is not threaded but uses 3 lugs to twist on... once replaced my engine feels much livlier and idles much better. Winter seems to throw all sorts of crap around the filler and filter area and i will do it every Spring from now on... £49 for a tin can seems expensive though.... 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Easy, just fill a pint of diesel into the new filter, it doesn't spill. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Good call.. RRP of diesel filter is £43+Vat.. duckworths seem to be quoting £28.28. Thumbs Up

Yip, fully synthetic Magnatec is on sale at Tescos for £24 and semi-synthetic at £20... which is best for Puma? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
