Water trickle from passenger side heater duct.
I noticed this morning after the run to work that there was a little bit of water inside the heating duct dripping down into the passenger footwell.

It was just water and more importantly, it was cold water.

I did have the air con running.

Is this just condensation that was built up in the duct or is there another possibility? Craig Rogers

Second that. Just put your hand in and run it on the underside of the plastic ducting. Your find the rubber drain bung. Just squeeze to make sure it is not blocked. Squeeze it until both sides part. You will feel any trapped water running out. You might sometimes see a little pool on the ground on this side of the vehicle after heavy rain-this is just the the water exiting the rubber valve before the heater. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Thumbs Up Once again, thanks guys!

Sounds about right as I could see it coming from the join in the duct.

I'm pretty sure it's this, so I'll take a look when I get home! Craig Rogers

All a bit strange as the water does seem to be coming from the duct. I can see where it came from the footwell and where it connects through the Bulkhead to the fan unit.

Checked both drain plugs and they are clear?

Hopefully it's a bit of water that's somehow got caught up in the fan assembly where it was standing for a while before I bought it.

I'll keep an eye on it.......I did taste it to make sure it wasn't antifreeze! Smile

The other thing it could be is where I've washed the windscreen and it's somehow worked it's way into the duct Craig Rogers

Cant believe I'm owning up to this so here goes:

A few years ago me and the missus where walking back to the car which was parked in a local supermarket, when she noticed fluid under the front bumper and asked if it was our car that was leaking? So being a bloke I did the taste test to see if it was antifreeze, the missus then asked if it was leaking antifreeze to which I replied no we are ok..........it's dogs Censored ....... Embarassed

Your AirCon drain is blocked, its located above the gearbox in the underside of the transmission tunnel.

Wait till the engine is cold, put some scruffy clothes on, get under the vehicle and try and get your hand up between the top of the gearbox and the underside of the transmission tunnel. Have a grope around and you will find a rubber teat type thing. When you find the teat give it a squeeze and you will release the blockage and get a wet arm. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Topman AndrewS!!!! Bow down

You was certainly correct about the drain plug being blocked.

You weren't so correct about getting my arm wet.............Got drenched as about half a litre of water gushed out and drenched me! Rolling Eyes

Left the door of the work van open while I left it and a dog peed on the inside door trim. Ran down into the pocket and swished around a lot. Did'nt know 'untill I was driving down the road. Could not figure out what the smell was. Did'nt do the daily log book much good either as it was in the door pocket at the time. At least a Defender door is high up out of harms way. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

A mate came around with his dog whilst I was working on the car. It wasn't until I was packing up that I realised his mutt had Censored in my tool box - I'd been using the tools with no gloves but didn't realise Sad
