I think that its heavily disguised.

I also think its going to be too small, smaller than the existing 90 and 110 Crying or Very sad 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

It does at least look as though there will at last be a proper replacement for the Discovery, which is good.

Shame there won't be a replacement for the Defender though.

^^
this.

If I wanted a station wagon with independent suspension I'd buy a Land Cruiser.

I think if my Defender ever packs up I'll move to some Censored of a 78 Troopie with a 80 series.

Well, in terms of looks, it's much better than the other things that have been presented over the years Thumbs Up

Not my cup of tea, but certainly better.

I don't know much about car manufacturing or the pro and cons of portal axles vs. independent, but for me personally the look of a portal axle is a part of the Defender DNA.

Why did they opt out of them? Old tech? Can't be modernised with all the traction control and so on that we need nowadays? Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

I kind of like that...if it turns out to be the swb defender then Thumbs Up
For me, I have no need of a bigger vehicle so that size is not a problem.
However, the price is likely to stop me from buying Shocked

I've been studying the mule pics, I think the bonnet is heavily disguised and it just doesn't look right. The more I look the more I'm thinking that the new vehicle will have a similar bonnet and wing arrangement as the Defender, ie top of wings visible. If you look at the pic of the front you can see that the bonnet is deeper between the headlights than it is above the headlights. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Yes the roof and the hood both have prosthetic pieces taped to them.

Even though the pics are heavily disguised, the overall shape looks hideous.

That French mag pic looks like the Driver has his arm out the window in true Defender Style , because there is no bloody room in the Thing !

I am starting to worry about JLR , to many odd niche vehicles , losing volume sales , reliability and serious affordability issues .

I think Mr Radcliffe will be very very happy Rolling with laughter

It looks as though they are running a Disco 3 under the padding just to pull our chains!

It will be nice to have a proper Discovery again, shame there'll not be a Defender.
