Battery connections can sometimes come loose, rather than corroded.
Check the battery earth connection under the vehicle is clean and tight. |

Earth on puma tdci land rover main ones
From battery down too the chassis then to transfer box, next right or left hand side under the vehicle between chassis and the bulkhead earth strap. Last edited by dorsetsmith on 11th Nov 2018 10:23pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Mine has done this once, and it was due to the main relay coming loose under the passenger seat.
Most of the dash lights (save for the battery and oil I think) went out and the gauges went to full scale. It's an easy fix, just tighten up the terminals on the socket and push the relay back in. It's under the driver's seat on a UK vehicle, so I guess that's under the passenger seat on a LHD vehicle. Opposite side to the battery anyway. |

Okay I checked the two earth from battery to chassis to Tbox it was ok.
After that I started for a ride and then all was ok untill I put the heather on 3 and now engine stoped but this time it never started again. I tried to check all fuses and relay. 12volt in the main relay under passenger seat but nothing when turning the key. warning lights and lights are working but nothing on ignition. Now the car is with the mechanic. We will see tomorow. be |
