110 Exhaust fumes with a soft top
Chaps

Some advice please. I have just converted a 2.4 TDCi into a soft top and the exhaust fumes seem to get sucked straight into the vehicle when the rear tilt is open.

Simple fix would be to close the rear tilt but it needs to be left open as people are constantly climbing in and out on shoots etc.

My 200tdi makes no smell at all but the exhaust exits to the side of the vehicle and I am presuming that the rear exit exhaust on the 2.4 TDCi is the issue.

Can I fit an exhaust that exits to the side on the 2.4 tdci??

Thanks

There is nothing stopping you fitting a side exit exhaust and I think SMB has already done so to his 2.4 Russell

Fitting a side exit exhaust to my soft top 90 eliminated the exhaust gas smell totally. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

How about a fume curtain?

Had one in my 90 soft-top for donkeys years now as they not only do what they say on the tin but they also keep the cab nice and cosy on the coldest of winter days. ONE LIFE, GET IT!
