Drivers window not working
Hello

My 2003 90 TD5 all of the sudden has the drivers side electric window not working... when I press the switch nothing happens. Do you know whether it might be a fuse and if so which one?

Also it looks like half of the speedometer light is off as per picture... maybe related?

Lastly it also looks like the DB antenna is not working...

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Best
Alex

The window not working will be broken wire between A post and door. It will be in the rubber conduit. They may look ok but one will be snapped inside insulation. It will be the two thick wires for window.

Clocks will just be bulb.

assuming your defender is standard wiring, then your first place is to check into the passenger compartment fuse box to see if the fuse has blown.

then move on to the wiring in the A pillar and then finally removing the door card to check at the connectors if there's power.

if there's power, then it's time to either rebuild the motor (yes, it's possible if you have the time and skills) usually it stops working because of water in the motor and it starts rusting away.

Failing which just replace the entire assembly (lifter and motor) you can't buy the motor alone From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island.
