It does seem alot of money for something which doesn't solve your current predicament without more work.
I love to tinker and make things work for me, but an aftermarket set of doors for your specific model shouldn't be more than that surely? Are you wanting to keep it in house with JLR replacements? |

Badger110, thank you.
The other option is to purchase galvanized doors from SP 4X4 for approximately 400 euros each totaling 2000 euros plus shipping for all five doors. That's the VAT free price. For me, it's worth the roughly extra 800 euros to get genuine JLR galvanized pressed steel doors with steel skins. Any other thoughts from the community? Thank you. |

The genuine 2005-on pressed steel doors are worlds better than the previous welded-frame type. Well worth the hassle of upgrading.

They still crack across the frame by the locking indicator in the bottom rear corner of the window...

Could you describe in more detail why they are better? I don't see a massive difference...

Much heavier, so nicer and more solid feel. Much more resistant to rust (especially if you fill them with cavity wax).
Yes they still crack at the top |
