Need to send away the stupid polished XS wheels I have to get them refurbished.
Looking at these Genuine Wolfs which doesnt seem a bad price: eBay Item No. 282558077573 I assume I want 235/85/16 tyres, correct? I'd like some snow/winter rated tyres, it will only be used on the road over the winter, so suggestions on tyres welcomed for lowest noise, best ride and cope with snow if we get it.... Ta |

Thanks. I suppose the question is how much better are the genuine LR wheels over those "wolf style" wheels?

Every year this “winter” versus “snow” tire statement comes back and confuses me. I don’t think specific snow tires exist anymore. Even here in La Suisse they are unheard of. Found the below explanation which puts it all right I think. https://www.google.ch/amp/s/www.theglobean...cle558791/ Just installed a new set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2 on genuine Wolfs to replace my 8 year old LT. Think this is as good as it gets as winter boots for a Defender. The more recent LT2 is very quiet on the road, big difference with the older LT. This combo until recently also was sold by JLR as a genuine LR accessory in Switzerland and in Nordic countries. Now that there are no Defenders in the model line up anymore this combo has also disappeared from the LR winter brochure. Nothing offered anymore for Defenders... When now our new ordered Yamaha snow blower will be delivered in November, we’ll be ready for what winter may throw at us here on our mountain... But today still went biking up here in t-shirt and 20°C. Eric Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
