Drove 476 miles to Scotland from Essex last week in my 90 The trip was really enjoyable but I couldn’t believe the difference in fuel economy over 2000rpm At 60mph doing about 2000rpm in 6th gear I was getting a hell of a lot more than doing 70/75 at 2500/2750rpm when I could literally see the gauge dropping! If I’ve learned one thing it’s carry a spare Jerry van or two with fuel in on long journeys 👍!

Cheers! It’s Not been a great year for me so far that’s why I haven’t been on here. I’ve spent most of it in hospital having had major surgery but hopefully I’ve been put back together successfully? I’m now ready to enjoy 2019 with even more mods to look forward to! 2010 Defender 90 HT

I agree Butchers Boy, I recently did part of the NC500, and to ensure we never ran out I carried a 20Lt Can which in round figures would give me a 100 Miles. Didn't need it in Scotland but just knowing it was there was good. I did however use it both getting to and coming back from Scotland to avoid Motorway Fuel Prices...

Thanks! I constantly get people asking me if I want to sell it! I had one guy pull up next to me while stopped in traffic on the M25 leaning out of his window offering to buy it from me...  I did have an instance last year when a young guy jumped in while I was stopped in town at a zebra crossing! He just opened the door and jumped in quick as that! I wasn’t sure if he was high on drugs or after my truck? But didn’t take any chances switch my truck off quick removed the keys told him to get out or I’d remove him! I lock the doors now before I pull away!
Have you got a permanent secure place to carry the can? I want to carry a couple of 10L cans in the back of mine but was struggling with where to locate them safely? 2010 Defender 90 HT The longer I live..... The better I was! |

Cheers Clayton Think I’m over the worst now although the next two years could be a bit touch and go in terms of it returning? I’m confidant I’ll be ok now that I’ve made some serious life changes in terms of work and diet 2010 Defender 90 HT
