More recently I fitted some snow cowls in preparation for winter and for A E S T H E T I C S
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I fitted some additional glint tape to the rear mud guards to aid in on site visibility, Click image to enlarge Also note the Union Flag is reversed, but only from external observers point of view! Click image to enlarge And I found a puma ram mount fixing kit, all it took was an extra screw to fix it to the dash for future installation. I'm pretty sure that there was an extension piece for those jacks that allowed them to be used with the soft A bar, as the latter prevents the jack from engaging the lifting point properly. Regardless though, they're still rubbish and a bottle jack is a better bet. correctamundo,
but as you say its not worth the time and a bottle jack lifts the axle rather than the body so its a no brainer. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/ Current: TD5 '110 "Lucinda" Thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62562.html |

Well chap, coming on nicely...
Any chance of a couple more pictures of the overhead console? Im looking at getting me a snowcowl too, what with all the rain lately - not sure about the snow side of things, we tend not to have it too bad where I am.. I see you have one each side? My TD5 only has the opening on the passenger side - the driver side is closed up?? That ram mount looks great, I just got a Halfords phone holder - that works a treat. Look forward to hearing from you. I have also started my own thread/Blog these all make for some interesting reading!! yeah sure i'll grab some on my lunch break, like i said i can't recommend it all that much, but the extra Space is offers is invaluable. i think its a clone of the ARB one that is quite hard to get a hold of and nearly triple the price.
the snow-cowl definitely increases the heating capability, however it tends to make it a lot noisier, the origional plates have some fins mounted that i assume are meant to shield the bulkead from sound. I only have two because i have OCD in regards to symmetry, these were some cheap £15 ebay ones that i only intend to keep until i need the KBX air scoops for summer. i had a few halfords phone holders, and nothing likes to stick to my screen, probably due to the vibrations... Ah that's fair enough - I can empathise with the OCD - I cant leave the house without checking the door half a dozen times.
And before I got my Clifford alarm id do the car half a dozen times too, and keep checking the doors... can get quite frustrating sometimes... Especially when im half way to work and have to turn around to check it again... Ill be getting some cheap ones too - Just seen a for sale post and the chap wants £80 for a metal one - the original is selling for £115 on the website!!! I have seen some on amazon though so ill be ordering that Regards Adam Loving The Duchess The Defender 110 TD5 XS My Defender story - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic64005.html |

Yeah the mud look easier to fit for me storage was more important than the button space, at least with the MUD ones you don't have to saw the visors in half... I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

If your dad jacked it up without chocking the wheels or engaging diff lock then the fault was his and not the jack. That's basic stuff. Darren
