Personally, I prefer the Deep Dish to the Boost alloys. Maybe it's just that they're a bit more "curvy" against the squared off "boxiness" of the Defender.

There is an additional consideration. IIRC and I am sure someone with more knowledge will correct me on this if it turns out I am mistaken...
The Boost alloys weight carrying specs are rated high enough for a 110, whereas the Deep-dish are not. This would obviously have insurance implications should it be decided that the wheels were not the correct spec for the vehicle. Anyway Boosts look much better...  |

Deep Dish are correct for a 110. It's the Tornados which aren't weight rated for a 110.

Thanks Martin. You are absolutely right I was thinking of the Freestyle/Tornado rims...
Of course the Deep Dish were used on the Camel Trophy 110s... and they wouldn't take risks on safety would they 
Do you know of a place where the specs for these wheels can be found? such as load rating etc. |

Excellent! Until I read this post I didn't know my current wheels were 'deep dish'. I knew they weren't boosts, but that was as far as I'd got. Now I know - and that they are 110 rated. After 16 odd years I'd probably assumed that anyway! Donald

I prefer the Boosts and have them on my 90 County Hard Top.
But Freestyle alloys are the correct spec for this vehicle - so if anybody has some of these close to East Anglia, I could be interested. Tyres not needed. |

I like the deep dish on the more retro Defenders, boosts look better with bigger tyres imho

The alloy option went over to Boosts for both 90 and 110 in around 2002 IIRC. No Puma has Tornados or Deep Dish as factory fit. The grey ones on my 90 above came off my other 90, and they were originally off a Disco 1 ES.

In my mind (rightly or wrongly and probably the later). The deep dish seem a bit beefier. They look like there is a bit more metal in them and therefore stronger.
On the other hand I am running a set of ZU alloys so
