its a double edged sword for me as I work offshore on an oil production platform.
We don't make much money per barrel of produced oil, as we are taxed on every aspect of oil production and have been in a dire straits over the last couple of years with big redundancies and lack of funds to undertake basic maintenance. I’m not sure what has caused the price rise but it hurt my pocket too as I tend to do many miles when onshore in my 110. My nearest petrol station in Gt Witley. The one 2 miles away in Dunley is 10p a litre less. £1.42?!

I was thinking the same whilst filling up the other day - the "use the app" sign was right beside the "switch off your mobile phone" sign! Explain the joined-up thinking behind that if you can. |

I’m in the same sort of boat as I, too, work in the oil and gas industry. It’s nice to finally see pay rises as it’s offsetting the cost of filling up. |

often put £70-75 in - And that's NOT evenon the red - most times I fill up just before the orange line starts.
Only because of horror stories about people running empty in the orange... Regards Adam Loving The Duchess The Defender 110 TD5 XS My Defender story - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic64005.html |

Yes, I think most people would have passed that one too That’s a shocking amount for fuel, but no doubt we will all be paying those kinds of prices sooner rather than later |

yeah this time next year, If it contiunes to jump up as fast as it has. I cannot believe how diesel has shot up compared to petrol now. Diesels about 4p more now than petrol in some stations, i have had to stay off the ultra stuff now, as its just too expensive to for what i get now. My parents mix it, i tried that and it didnt really do much for me sadly. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |
