I thought 200k was good going. I did find the vac pipe had no clip to secure the pipe to the alternator and the oil drain pipe, the clip was not tight.
I have found spare regulators for the Denso, but not looked for the slip rings. The old one is going to a auto electric place for their thoughts. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Old alternator dropped off to get checked. Nearly 100 miles since swapping out the atly, so looking good.

Probably worn brushes, I have that more often but that might have to do something with my driving behavior.
I have a second alternator so I can swap when needed. Click image to enlarge The Altenator is placed low so gets wet when doing this.
