If you want the ability to apply/remove the map at your convienece, ATRIC from Alive Thumbs Up

If not, then it can still be done by OBD, and doesn’t require the ECU to be opened up

I had my 07 110 remapped about 5 years ago... roughly. After lots of web surfing and speaking to a few companies I went for IRB. I drove down to Sutton coalfield from Ellon.... took a few hours, but very worth it. Ian matched my intercooler. Air box and exhaust to a mapping... I am delighted with the results. My thinking was I want this done right so I was prepared to travel. Give Ian a shout I know he’s sometimes prepared to travel... cheers Richard

Ian at IRB has done them for me before too and they’ve been great. I think he’s back to work again after having an accident and not being able to work Thumbs Up

Mike,

No interest up here for an Empire visit to make it worth while so I ended up going for the Alive map utilising the ATRIC programmer. Gives me the flexibility to swap between standard, 150 and 170bhp maps.
They can now map the truck without needing your remove your ecu.

If your interested I can let you feel the difference on a 110 tdci puma

I'm happy with the results, makes it far more usable and enjoyable to drive. Even a slight improvement on fuel consumption when I'm not driving like a hooligan.

Cheers
Rossy

I am in the Mintlaw area near Ellon. I have had my 2009 110 utility since new, it is my main transport and also used to tow my caravan not used off road except for in and out fields. Is remapping of benefit to me? I have not thought about it before. I have just accepted the performance of the vehicle as "it is what it is". My 110 is still standard. What advantages would a remap give me?

Crofter,

I also tow a caravan with my 110 and it transformed the experience.
I agree Defenders will never be a fast vehicle as such but the difference between standard and mapped are huge.
The additional torque and performance you get make it far more enjoyable for day to day driving. I can now easily keep up with modern traffic and overtake things where before I would just have to sit behind and accept I could not safely get past.

The same offering made to Mike_E is extended to yourself, If you want to feel the difference you are more than welcome to meet up and see/ feel for yourself.

Rossy
