Injector harness plug/socket
Evening all , my injector plug or socket depending how you view it , has melted at some point and no longer clips to the injector harness plug , can these be brought separately or is it a complete engine loom ? Cheers

Excellent question.

I had to buy a whole 2nd hand loom once and want 5 of these. In most cases, you can repair them with Poxypol or such like.
But sometimes they are beyond repair

Any bulk order I am in Fixing Land Rovers in rural Guanacaste

Scotland 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HT Keswick Green
Hi Razz.

I had a similar problem with the injector loom connections on my 2007 2.4 Defender. Someone had previously disconnected the loom from the injectors and obviously didn't know how to unclip them. As a result the securing clips were broken and the connectors were secured to the top of the injectors with small tie wraps. I was gutted, thinking I would have to fork out for a new injection harness. Fortunately when I was looking these up on the internet, I stumbled on some threads regarding un-pinning wiring loom connectors.

A quick trip to my local scrapyard (good old fashioned one where you can wander about) and I was able to source the same connectors from a different vehicle. (Think it was a Nissan?) I then defender pinned them from the donor car and fitted them to the Landy loom. Not sure who makes the connector that your after, but I'm almost certain that you will be able to UN pin it and replace it in situ. For all the years that I'd been messing about with cars and bikes, I'd always thought the factory looms were permanently fastened to the connectors. Talk about a 'light bulb' moment.

It may be that you were already aware the connector could be removed, but it's worth mentioning for the benefit of other who will perhaps stumble onto this thread whilst looking for help re connectors. Very Happy

Regards as always
