A busy saturday. The first job was getting the new reverse switch put into the gearbox and re-wiring that up. And hey presto we have light
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Once that was done it was put the gearbox tunnel back on and star with putting the dashboard back in. It started off with a box of bits and the main pieces of the dash all thrown on the floor Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The dashboard is now 95% completed still a few things to be put on and sorted out but its in and a job less to do. 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Bodge job time, i am know by my mates for doing bodge jobs etc, but i go with if it works then its all good.
This one though is also a question as well, with fitting the +2inch extra high turrets for the long travel suspension the header tank wont sit where it should on the inside of the wing. so in the pictures below you will see what i have done. The question i have is.... is it okay like this Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Also i put on some light guards for the rear lights and the first part of the internal storage cage shelf arrived the other is on back order as they ran out of stock Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Bit of an update,
The 90 has gone to my mechanics for a new Ignition Barrel and the Fuel filter and fuel lines moving so the air box and intake pipe can be fitted correctly. Plus i dont want to play around with fuel lines. So hopefully by the beginning of next week i shall have the 90 back and the bonnet can go on, The wheel arches can be fitted and then pretty much MOT time for it Click image to enlarge 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Got the 90 back on saturday morning, the fuel filter has been moved so the air intake pipe could go on to the air box.
I then set about cutting and drilling the wheel arches and then fitting them. only got the rear arches on. fronts to do next weekend. I also finished off the storage cage in the rear. I also found my dads old Audi boot net and it fits perfectly to the storage cage Storage Cage Done Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Fuel filter and air intake pipe Done Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Wheel Arches Rears Done.... BUT need to get some bigger tyres and off-set rims now to fill the arches out Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Your going to have to have massive rims and tyre's on the 90 now to fill up those arches

Yeeee i have been thinking on that lol....... dont want to go too big on the tyres, and dont really want to put spacers on either. I am thinking some -35 off set rims and then either 265 or 285 tyres and hope to try and fill some of the wheel arche out, i dont really want big 35" tyres haha The back of the 90 is nearly done, probably a few other little bits to do but nothing mega, am happy with how it is at the moment 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |
