Evening All
If anyone has to remove the steering drop arm I can recommend the Laser drop arm puller Comes in 2 sizes one for defenders and one for series vehicles, I must admit I was I bit sceptical about it working on my 1993 V8, after reading all the problems that other people have had resulting in getting the grinder out! Got home from work, slipped the puller on the drop arm, did the bolt up, got a spanner on it, crikey that’s tight, have to be careful as no front axle in (that’s another story) so I don’t want to pull it off the stands, so out with the impact wrench, blow me it was off in a flash! Really surprised, I didn’t think it would work but I’m amazed! Click image to enlarge |

It is absolutely fantastic when the right tool works so easily. Using the correct pitman arm puller makes this job a piece of cake..
I bought a generic puller but it is good to know that there is a specific laser tool for the job |
