My other half is Portuguese and says you should check out Ericeira, Santa Cruz. We will probably be heading for Lisbon ourselves as thats where her family are.

Peniche is better known but a bit "Newquay" - Ericeira is much nicer.

Dan was here a few weeks, but my LR was at the dealer, and I had my foot broken due to a motorcycle accident, so just got out of the house by my own feet this week! Big Cry

June is going to be a busy month for me, will be up and down the country, but will be around in July ... Will go on hollydays from July 25th till August 15th ... but will be here the rest of August and September ... Regards

My wide grew up in Portugal, Estoril.

Guincho is one of the best surfing beaches in Europe just round the corner from Estoril / Cascais, there is also a camp site just above the beach.

I spent a day is Estoril the other year, nice place. We usually visit Lisbon and Sintra, I hope to do Porto as well.

For me, the soonest to go would be August/September. 2011 110 USW
