Take the covers off. Undo the nut on the bottom of the shock. Undo the four 13mm nuts holding the turret to the chassis. Next just pull the turret and shock up through the inner wing where you've just taken the covers off. Easy job 10-15mins.

Wow! Me thinks this is so much better than dropping axle, pulling springs out and everything! Thank you mate!

Do soak those turret bolts in penetrating fluid I.e. WD40 the day before and clean the threads.
And go easy undoing them as they are prone to snap the studs off! They also have a torque in the WSM to be tightened to. Unless they are really old you shouldn't have a problem. Tightening the top mount is not so straight forward though. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 Last edited by custom90 on 17th Sep 2018 5:48pm. Edited 2 times in total |

What’s the tq required??
Also, what’s special about the top mount on the shock? |

The springs stay there if you're only replacing the shocks. No need to jack up or anything else. Springs are easy enough to change as well.

On a puma on the n/s you need to carefully move coolant hose out of the way and on the o/s you need to move air intake.

Buy a spare set of turret rings and nuts before you start as it’s wet likely you’ll break at least one.
