No sidelights or hazards
So... I had a flat battery - I've charged said flat battery and put it back in the '88 Defender 90. Everthing was going well for the first minute of the drive until the instrument panel failed and I had no indicators/brake lights/side lights.
I have since renewed a fuse (it wasn't blown) and given the hazard switch a blow. NOW - i have no hazards or FRONT side lights. The fuel gauge is working again, so are my indicators, brake lights and rear sidelights.

If it's got the glass fuses like my '88 Ninety then give them all a spin in their clips. They love getting a bit of corrosion on them and blocking all the electrons. Lucas Banging Head  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Oh the joy of glass fuses. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Yeah give them a good clean down and check all connections to the fuses and give those a clean down. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
