I've seen quite a few Defenders fitted with RX8 seats now. They're ok but always look like you've been cheap and stuck a set of RX8 seats in
Another vote for Corbeau here too, and you can pick them up for much less than that. I paid £250 a seat for mine One of the most comfortable bucket seats I've had 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320 |

Thanks guys -- two votes for the Corbeaus. Though I still need to figure out some matching middle rows

I used to have an e87 BMW 1 series, the front seats in the M sport versions are similar to the defender XS ones in leather sides similar material middles, as these BMWs are rear wheel drive they are also narrow, I never measured them but they look like they could fit and can be obtained at reasonable prices, pretty much matching the rest of the seats, but with more adjustments and a lot more side support. Full leather versions can also be obtained. Links to ebay for an idea what they look like

Can you not just get one of Exmoor's re-trim kits for your existing seats? They're reasonably priced, they'll do them in Leather rather than vinyl if you want. You get new covers and foams and fit them to your existing frames. It doesn't take long to fit them, certainly no longer than trying to fit seats from another vehicle into yours.
You also effectively end up with brand new seats, rather than some thing from another car that have already had 10 or 20 years worth of wear on the leather and the foam. |

Got to say I hate non defender seats that you can’t get at the battery or fuse boxes underneath the seats. Probably because I waste so much time dealing with them though If you’re going to fit them at least fit some sort of jump start terminals for a poor mechanic in the long run!
Please do a better job of fitting them than this one I saw recently! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

if you get the proper fitting kit for the Corbeau seats then you can mount the runners with thumb screws. Only takes a few minutes to remove the seat totally. Granted a little more hassle, but the Recaro CS seats with the removable bases are twice the price for a single seat than it is for a pair of Corbeaus with the fitting kit 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320

What heathen uses flat head screws!? I'll take a look at the RRS's. I know BB6 makes a cheaper clone so I may stop by their shop and see how they feel. |

Yep I'm with you there, they're just always a bodge in a Defender. Less of an issue in an old series 3 SWB with only the fuel tank/s under the seats. Out of interest were the seat belts fitted to the wood too? |
