Tentipi
Anyone on here using one? Review and do you use a stove inside it?

We are looking to extend our family camping later and earlier in the season. We like the thought of a social cooking and eating area and being able to leave the tent and roam in the vehicle. Our current Roof tent set up doesn’t allow either of these options.

Lots of posts if you do a search
I use a stove in my tentipi - keeps the tent and ocupents warm and dry when the weather is wet
A real bonus in Norway at -25 degrees
If you want it as a social area then go for the 9 person, the 7 is good for a couple but not a family

We use one a Safir 9 with a stove. The tent works well in all weather conditions cold and hot, using the stove you can keep warm and also cook. Usually when we go camping and it’s cold everyone comes to our tent to keep warm and keep drinking before they go back to their cold tents for the night. Russell

We use a Bison Tundra 8 and frontier stove, though you need to purchase a few more flue sections to reach the tophat.
Bought it 2nd hand in 2013 and have had no complaints on performance so far. Toasty warm with the stove running.

Thanks for the replies. It’s a yes then for plan. Do you use a carbon monoxide detector through the night or let it burn our before sleeping? 1951 80" S1 2.0

The frontier doesn't last the whole night, we just stoke it up before bedtime.

I was told that due the the shape of a tipi and that their bases are not sealed there is no need for a CO detector - but use one if it makes you sleep better
I let mine burn out during the night so that it is cool in the morning for packing away

Poor photo of mine in the snow
Its the original MOSKOSELKATAN stove before they changed their name to Tentipi
Its more of a tall cylinder so takes up less space in the tent

Norway - in winter

Also used in the Pyreneese - in the spring

We have a Carbon monoxide alarm and have never had it go off, we too let it go out thought the night so you can pack it away cold.

We have a stainless steel stove, the good thing over the carbon steel is the outside doesn’t rust and ruin the inside of the tent as you install it. Russell

Best thing you can do Ian try one! We did where we met Boode and a few others to talk about a trip to nordkapp and stayed in one for the weekend.
They are a lot of money and we bought our setup from Taunton leisure, the truck is to call them and ask for a discount as your spending so much money. They didn’t even try say no to the idea Russell
