Thanks Pickles.
It's quite a steep road and a favourite for road cyclists and classic car routes. There used to be some fabulous green lanes within a 10 mile radius of this road, though over-use has seen most of them closed. Nearby Castleton and Hope are popular tourist spots, with some fantastic walking and cycling nearby as a well as caves and an old mine.... https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_R...gland.html |

^^^. The scenery is quite something, the Wild Atlantic Way, some 2500km of coastline, something similar I suppose to the Nw500.
Whilst the Defender would have relished the terrain, maybe not so much the downpours  |

Ohh - 3 weeks time and I will be (with luck) on that byway myself in our 110. The last couple of years (late September) we have had to share it with a film crew mind, a Mr Poldark was in Town

Living where I do, it's a little difficult to compete with some of the spectacular photos that others put on here.
