At least it’s back to school soon. Can I suggest you don’t do a complicated subject when you go into sixth form?

Perhaps nobody has told you that this is a friendly forum?

To reinforce the above, can I add a reminder that it is not acceptable to throw insults around. All it was was a misunderstanding.

It might be the norm on other forums/platforms but not here.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Shuggy110,

Looks good so far. Great barn/Garage too. Thumbs Up Can I ask about your dashboard. I've been looking at the Rapture Engineering binnacle and binnacle holder. Did you go down this route or replace with the plastic ones?. I've just replaced the dashboard light bulbs with LED bulbs and am now feeling the need to replace these items too.

Anyone else used these Rapture bits?

Kind regards, Simon Very Happy

It unfortunately is typical for a lot of people to react like this as if it was Twitface or Faceerbook.

I have recently left a number of VW water-cooled van forums because of low level of intelligence of some of the members. It appears that in some places everyone is a target.

Now back to your rebuild! Looking forward to seeing progress. Cheers Don.

Wouldn’t be so bad if anyone actually said anything bad to him? Even if the misunderstood comment was someone suggesting he should change the engine, it wasn’t said in a malicious way so can’t understand the reaction? Ray

The comment was about the steering wheel, it would look good with a TD5 steering wheel, with him putting the dash part in, just to set it off. What happend my browser i had froze on me, ( i didnt know at the time) Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

No explanation or excuse needed Procta, I think we all on the forum thought it was quite the over reaction. We've seen it before, but normally after pages of comments, not just one. Rolling with laughter Monsieur Le Grenadier
