Click image to enlarge Mod in progress, I notice that the old grill had worn out some of the paint and it put me back a couple of days. The svx removal is well documented in another thread here, so i will provide with the parts number when I am done. Photo of my new led headlights, they will give me better dark vision |

So finally getting round to changing the SVX style surrounds and KBX front grille it came with for something standard or very close to.
I’ve read this thread and Ihod’s which covers much of this (thank you for taking time to upload pics, descriptions etc). Still have a couple of qu’s I’m hoping you may be able to help with. The Wipac headlight that is currently part of the SVX setup - will I be able to reuse this, and if so will I need any sort of adapter / back plate etc to fit it back where it should be? The LED indicator lights and side lights - best to leave both of these with the SVX surrounds so the new owner (assuming someone, somewhere actually wants these!)? I can see I need to buy new side lights on place of the huge (NAS?) ones on there but didn’t know whether to reuse the indicators. Couple of pics of current setup below, Thanks, Matt Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

I’ll admit I had to look back at my thread here....
I inherited and SVX grille and SVX light surrounds. All genuine LR (so I do t know if your SVX\KBX differs but you may be able to compare from the photos). The SVX setup has extra driving lights (not side lights) off a short adaptor loom which I removed (but kept the original wiring and relay for future use and just zip-tied back in the engine bay. So you need the side or position lights and indicators but can reuse the headlights, bowls, surrounds and fittings that you have already. PM me and I’ll call you if it helps? Looks like you need to remove the headlight in its plastic bowl, then remove the black plastic bit behind that, then you can fix the headlight plastic bowl direct to the panel.
So remove this bit and fit headlight assembly direct to front of wing. Click image to enlarge |

Just a thought whilst the front is off you could consider wiring in a second horn. With all the mobile phone zombies walking into the roads without looking first it could be useful to wake them up.
