A decent tyre place would have used black weights.

I did ask but they didn’t have any I wanted them fitted today ready for my up coming camping trip to Cornwall. I might run them like this for a bit and try and find somewhere that has black weights and get them rebalanced.
I have to say them were very careful with my new rims and tried their best to put as few weights on as they could also did not charge for the strip and refit for the spare so saved a few quid to put to getting them redone ![]() |

I would just paint them yourself, if they're balanced ok leave them alone.

Only my view, but a decent tyre fitter would break the bead and move the tyre and try for better balance than that. I would also question if the balancing machine is rated to the rolling size of your setup.

They do look great! But I've never seen so many weights to balance them

Thanks James I really like the wheels just need to sort the balancing issues, I too have never had as many weights on wheels and I agree with you gtmotorsport that they could have tried breaking bead And moving tyre to get a better balance with less weights so will be look to get them rebalanced else where.

Can’t make it out on my iPad, are they 16s? I was looking at a set of 16s myself. Ray

Hi Ray yes they are 16” rims as could not afford 18” with new rubber when the tyres where all good and not worn out.

Nice wheels. Paint the weights and next time you get tyres use somewhere that has black ones.
