Interesting find Ian and doesn't seem silly money given the rarity and incredibly low mileage.
Not sure Mrs lohr500 would approve of it sat on the drive though. If I recall correctly, weren't these Carmichael's own design of forward control, built by modifying a regular 109" LR? As opposed to the earlier factory Series II F/C versions. I guess so as it is advertised as a 1978 model and sports a Series III instrument panel. And only 59 miles from home ....... |

I didnt Think it was bad for the money either?
First one I’ve ever seen for sale, they are an odd beast but quirky at the same time. I did think about it, but not it’s not what I’m after really, so I will move on. I’ve owned an AFS Brockhouse fire pump trailer, and to be honest, unless your lighting fires and putting them out, there isn’t much else you can do with them? ![]() Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Well I am pumping between 300 and 500 litres of water a day into our holding tanks at the moment as the spring supply to the house has dried up. So perhaps I could justify it to SWMBO on that basis
![]() ![]() ![]() Although it is a LR so by the time I got it coaxed into life and pumping, the drought would be over !! Agree, just a bit too quirky and lacking on the practicality front. At least when I had the 101 I could justify it on the basis of a cavernous load area for all the camping gear and standby sleeping quarters if the weather was too foul for putting up the tent. |
