So long the classless utilitarian Vehicle.
Long live the hairdressers unnecessary 4x4 that is useless for any real work. LR Also stop making everything look like a freelander. If that is what we have waited all this time for (I hope Not!) then my opinion is that is one plug-ugly motor. I have always thought that the concept image looks like an overstretched Mini Clubman. And I would not pay a quarter of forty grand for it. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Given Land Rover have released absolutely nothing in relation to the new Defender with regard to it's appearance or price point, I think that article could be described as conjecture at the very best.
Every few months these sh*trags put out a story about the new Defender usually with some rubbish Photoshop visuals and spurious claims from 'insiders' which are all complete tosh. Until Land Rover themselves actually reveal the new vehicle there is nothing concrete to go on, beyond a few photos of some test mules which may or may not be testing some aspect of a new vehicle. |

I certainly take the pictures with a pinch of salt (they have labelled them as 'autocar image') but they do seem to have an inside line with JLR.
They had knowledge on the Velar before anyone else seemed to have and they also ran a story on the forthcoming 'Road Rover'. That's not been announced by JLR yet but they have now registered the name. Lets wait and see if the article has any substance but if it is correct on pricing that's me out then ... 2015 Defender 90XS HT |

And replaced it with another deadly dull SUV, at least the Yeti was distinctive. 2015 Defender 90XS HT

Yes, but as it is Labelled as a 'Hard Core Off-Roader' just think of the fun the Snowflake Generation will have driving this to the supermarket over a few road humps and the occasional parking on a grass verge. Click image to enlarge Take the image with a pinch of salt, but as it’s Autocar, the rest is probably near the mark. As blackwolf says the starting price is believable, as Gerry Mc farty face has been quoted for a while now saying that they are taking the Defender significantly up market. Such an arse. cheers, Steve |

It looks like a vehicle that we could service but maybe that's about it. Not like the existing defender which you can modify / rebuild. Imagine how you would feel if you damaged a panel
Needs to be more rough an ready for my liking but sadly is probably not going to be the case. |
