1989 Defender 90 V8 Petrol CSW Alpine White
Only because its a shorter wheelbase. Caravans like to wobble in traffic at speed and a 90 is not quite as stable as a 110 in this regard, but it just needs care when loading and diving. The caravan you mention is light, but has a big payload, so how you distribute that load will be the biggest factor in towing performance. At 1250kgs you will tow it fine. At 1650, the way its loaded will determine everything. I just hauled ours to France and put everything in the 110. The journey was uneventful! V8 90...WIP

I love towing with the defender, I think our horse box is about a ton prior to horses and a standard TD5 has no bother with it. That being said it’s also towed with a Range Rover and you could be forgiven for forgetting your towing it’s unreal!
