Lo-tech sticky tape for me... facing the front of the vehicle the triangularish shape on the left of the lenses is self-evident, just cut to shape.
Someone will point out the possibility of the adhesive damaging the lenses, it ain't never happened to any Land Rover I've ever owned, or any Morgans which use the same 7" headlights. Peter Edited to add: picture just posted shows the more expensive version of my sticky tape! |

Thats more or less what I had assumed also, but what is vague is where to cut either side, the instructions imply line up the outer edge of the circle with the outer edge of the headlamp and trim the narrow end, but in that pic you posted, it seems to be trimmed at both ends, what has he used as a reference to do that?

Just fill in the triangular bit with tape as per above. In my experience the Eurolights arenot that precise due to their generic nature, you’ll probably do a better job just following the lines on the glass.
There should be no worries about damage in a glass lens, but my plastic lens crystals lights were ruined by electrical tape last year. On removing the tape the adhesive had somehow eaten into the plastic and caused it to craze. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

exactly, it's just the triangular part of the lens you need to cover, how you do it isn't important.
Whether you chop one end or both ends off the sticker, doesn't really matter so long as the triangular section in the lens is covered. On Defenders and all traditional 7" headlamps tape works just as well. Eurolights only really make sense on more modern headlamps. |

This is true and you'll get better light output than you will with tape on them. However you'll still need to tape them for your UK bit of the trip if it's at night. Because LHD ones dip right not left. Changing headlamp units is a bit much for a day trip though.  |
