Never mind the car, just look at the "attempts" to recover it #shudder

I enjoyed that. Better than a carry on film Only needed someone to say 'give it a good tug or when the second truck arroved 'Oh! that's a big red one' Oh! Matron. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Unbelievable, but a good job the police arrived and stopped the circus before some poor bystander got seriously injured.
I dread to think what may have happened if one of those winch cables or whatever they had attached the winches to had let go. It could have come straight from a Clarkson era Top Gear episode. |

Agreed.
Just because you've got a hazard beacon, mounted on your flatbed transit, using a woefully inadequate winch & strop, doesn't necessarily make you a recovery expert! I'm sorely tempted to use the word trav*ll*r Regards TT "Ease your worries, Clear-up your woes, Go into your garage & put stuff into rows." |

Personally, I would have arrested the lot of them under the 'Toxic Substances Control Act and the Pollution Prevention Act' for polluting the sea. I would also arrest them under the 'Loitering with an Intent act'. and if that was not enough for teaching them a lesson about tides and having a 4x4 with ridiculous wheels and tyres I would further arrest that strange looking transit driver for having a beard out of control.

Given that the local press have inferred that one of the recovery vehicles was still SORN'd & the other was tagged as untaxed; personally I think I'd of kept it really simple & "naively" ask for appropriate docs = everyone disappears pronto, the public aren't put in risk of being decapitated & best-of-all no paperwork for me!
A Professional recovery team is then free to take over TT "Ease your worries, Clear-up your woes, Go into your garage & put stuff into rows." Last edited by TooTall on 30th Jul 2018 6:36pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I wonder if the Police issued a ticket for the smoked lights on X5?
