Fitted drivers side new step / side bar (Fire & Ice version) to replace rusted old standard bars with chequerplate.
Have NEVER had bolts more difficult to move - 30 minutes with the 3 in 1 penetrating bolt loosing spray to get them shifted. Also noted that previous ones had no actual rivnut fixing to chassis - bolts yes, but nothing holding them in except rust. Thankfully, had already bought a hand rivnut tool, as a job half done is no job at all. Also fitted loan ecu from Gary @ Alive with remap on it. Landy sounds beefier already, but planning some mixed driving over the next few days to see the difference. 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey |

Went to collect my 90 from the paint shop after being without it for the week. I am very pleased with the result - looks spot on. Now I can finally stop looking at rust patches constantly! I tried to upload a couple of pics, but the photo upload doesn't seem to be working for me, I've used it fine in the past.
Out of interest, if anyone in the area is considering / needing any paintwork doing contact Martin at Malton Coachworks. I went to see a number of people about the work before having it done and Martin was by far the most 'switched on' and the most reasonable as well. Could not be more pleased with the results. Now I just need to keep it looking that way! edit: photo upload started working again: |
