I was chatting to Steve the other night. He told me JLR have just got in touch with him to say LR are big fans of his videos and they want him to do something with JLR.
Credit where it's due. Proof that you can bolt on all of the shiny bling you want, but it's a bunch of mates simply messing around in old LRs that's really grabbed JLR's attention.

If you're doing it then you may as well tour the coast of the entire British Isles setting off from Devon Laughing

On a serious note it could be a memorable trip.

Excellent video, really enjoyed it especially the drone sequences

Thinking of getting a classic triumph TR4/5/6 (a bit of a tour bus ) for doing exactly these types of trips

Pity their attention isn't equally grabbed by the number of complaints about delays in sorting corrosion warranty issues out!

Funny you say that ginjez, when i use to have my jap pick ups, i use to have 2 weeks off of work and i have travelled all around the coast Very Happy but i only ever got as high as Edinburgh and did not go any higher, so this would be a good chance to do the coast above Edingburgh Wink 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Ohh the fame I was part of Team faff on this trip just to answer a couple of questions.

Really great video!

What sort of speed were you doing with the drone chasing you? I've always wondered how fast they will chase a car.

The Drone has a max speed of about 20mph in its fastest sport mode which meant flying by hand as it will only track vehicles up to about 12mph. It also can’t fly in the wind or rain.

as surprised we only saw one shot of a car coming the other way on the single track sections; less surprised to see the wee queue built up behind three Series Is - and very happy the video shows you pulling over to let them past. If only every visitor to the area did that at passing places.

We was only holding them up due to flying the drone as it’s speed is limited and moved out of the way soon as we could. We managed to find by luck a quiet weekend and starting very early from Inverness helped. There was the Ironman triathlon on that weekend with the bike race doing part of the route. 5hat was very busy the bikes were not the problem but the support cars driving alongside and suddenly pulling up to a stop with no warning etc. It’s a trip I’d love to do again and. Would recommend it to anyone
