Paint for Garage floor

I have recently completed my garage build and now need to paint the floor before I start to use it.

Unfortunately I have completely blown my budget and have very little left to spend. I had originally intended to use a 2 pack type paint - but at somewhere around £70 per tin and I would need 6 or 7 tins I just don't have the budget for it.

So any other cheaper alternative recomendations?

I just left mine unfinished, brush it out every couple of years. I wouldn't want to roll around on it, but have plenty of cardboard when needed.

PVA can be used as a concrete floor sealant. It is normally used watered down at a ratio of 3:1. It works out a lot cheaper than paint. PVA containers normally have instructions on how to apply PVA. Defender 90XS SW

Most good quality floor paint will do either just the basic or anti-slip, you do not need two pack it’s not as if you are a commercial garage with heavy traffic all day. I do not know what meterage your floor is but five litres was enough to cover my garage floor. Something like Ronseal Diamond Steel Satin Garage Floor Paint about £40.00 5ltr from B&Q or a bit more specialised Floorsaver anti-slip garage floor paint at about the same price from here: https://www.floorsaver.co.uk/collections/paint/anti-slip For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Have you looked at Gumtree? There’s someone in Linwood area selling 20L tins of polyurethane floor paint for £37.50ea various colours available

Having a 5000m2 warehouse that’s a car showroom and garage in my family I can tell you that they have used every variety of paint from cheap to outrageous speciality stuff.

They swear by the no nonsense brand of floor paint from screwfix

I thought about floor paint, and epoxy resin for my garage, but in the end I went for something like these, warmer, and softer to lie on when tinkering!

Easy to put down, my 6 year old did most of it

Seems hard wearing, easy to clean, and withstands the Defender being parked on them.
