I live in Greece (Thessaloniki) but I am French.

I looked at buying in Greece but many have been converted to LPG and the local taxes seem totally unreasonable so I gave up on that idea.
Currently looking at buying a 110 Crew Cab in France to bring it back here.

Sorry Keith for the late reply.

I have been away at work then went to France to buy a small family car. I drove it back though Ancona where I got the ferry which I recommend for those looking at driving to Greece but want to save about a 1000 km on roads through Croatia, Albania etc (Nice but it takes more time).

As far as I know there is quite a defender community in Greece, though wrangler clubs are much more common and larger. You could check out different off-roading clubs all over Greece, like http://www.attiki4x4.com/
