NHS and Landrover’s!
Just for fun , not only does Landrover celebrate its 70th birthday so does the NHS , so let’s hear your nhs/Landrover stories !
Has it injured you , did it get you through floods famine and fire to the maternity unit ?
For me , nothing more exciting than getting me to and from work with the Ambulance Service
So over to you folks

Have used a Wolf for ferrying medical staff around during the snow earlier in the year, was good to make a difference from the comfort of a defender Thumbs Up 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

In the Beast from the East, loads of staff at our hospital couldn’t get in or get home. One who couldn’t get in was the resident on-call doctor for intensive care that night.
I could get in, of course, and so ended up being both the junior doctor and consultant for the night of March 2nd!
The hospital was eerily quiet but we (the NHS) were lucky. There were significantly fewer ambulances on that night to cover the region too.
I don’t know whether there were fatalities out there as a result.

As with stanley, my Landy was pressed into service to get myself and a few others into the Ambulance station. I even had to go out and uplift a guy who owns a BMW X5 which is a ‘4x4’ , but due to having road tyres nearly 18” wide he was going nowhere. The benefits of making it into work include not only having to clear the Landy of snow, but then having to start all over again and try and dig out the Ambuances too ☹️ The cornices on the Ambulances were magnificent due to the East wind which brought the snow. A couple of pics of the day.

Wasn't in the Defender as I hadn't got around to fitting the rear seat belts but a friend and I spent a long weekend shuttling mid wives to and from St Peters in Chertsey. I took my FF and friend had his P38. They were extremely grateful and nominated us for a volunteering award. Ed
