Do you know if they pressure tested the head?
I know you mentioned the block. I’m going through a similar thing at the moment! Mine was using coolant at a spectacular rate, with no visible leaks, no pressure in the system, still starting and running as normal? Hope to get the head off tonight, and get the head tested and skimmed. I’ve tested the egr cooler, and it’s ok. I can’t see the block being affected, but if that’s the case, it will come out and go for scrap. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

No not sure about the head but I have heard that it is not that uncommon for head gaskets to fail again. This is a new head and gasket. I think pressure testing the head is the next thing, please let me know how you go and what you find when you get the head off.
Thanks Daniel |
