Go one then, I'll ask the obvious: what's the significance of the mark in the sand?

A few snaps....

I was part of the door - the two truckcabs are the door handle

Last time I saw this motor was in Switzerland in 2012 at an event there. It was converted into a tractor, and for licencing reasons had the rear tub cut away like this so it could not really carry anything. The speed was also governed, and the doors and door hinges were removed (although the doors have had to be re-fitted for modern use now).

Go on then, I'll ask the obvious: what's the significance of the mark in the sand?

It's the figure 70.

Some sort of anniversary, I think......

I was going to tow my series one there with my Tdci. Unfortunately just after I connected the trailer to the Defender the elbow hose into the throttle body broke so with no spares available locally I drove the series one there instead. Got back lunchtime today having driven through all the welsh mountains in this hot weather, very glad to say the Series one didn't miss a beat for the whole 740 miles, phew! Thumbs Up 2.2 90 XS
