It's a shame your weekend has been ruined by a Puma.... I don't have a good word for them.
Gutted for you Ian. |

Were you tempted, if only for a minute, to just put the 90 on the trailer and hitch it up to the Series I? Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

It was mentioned a few times Darren.
I just couldn’t put it through that punishment! Everyone was great though, I was even offered the use of a nice 110 for a few days to shift the vehicles and trailer about, Shame we missed everyone, I did see Richard (seriesonenut) as we were leaving the showground, Sorry we never met up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Hi Ian,
Sorry to hear of your terrible luck! Was a very busy weekend at Anglesey! When are you going to have a chance to pull the head and look at the damage? Andy Working towards Carry on camping! |

Bad luck Ian, if it’s any consolation we had to bump start PVS yesterday loaded with four bridesmaids and the brides mother!
It provided much merriment and ribbing each time we had to do it during the day, I was just hoping it would hold out, and it did😊. I suspect the alternator but I’ll investigate when I have recovered from the wedding. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Hi Andy, We still had a good Friday night, I will pull it apart this week, it was loosing a good 3ltrs of water over 4- 5 miles! It wouldn’t supprise me if the head is knackered, it certainly won’t be flat!! We cooked it good and propper quite a few times climbing up into Anglesey, By that time we just needed to get there, so I got to the point where I really didn’t care! Spare engine at work, so not too worried😉 Andrew, The wedding photos looks great, hope it was a good weekend for you and your family All was not lost though, Took the tops off and Went to the annual village car show, which we’ve not done before, and it was ace! Does anybody know if it required much in the way of special arrangements for access to the beach? Some sort of official permission or can you just drive on? Darren

Well just home this evening from a 4 day road trip with my brother, a real jolly boys outing! 650 miles towing with the 110 and 250 miles in the series one 88 diesel. Twas the 110 which let me down with the rear pinion oil seal starting to let go by the time we returned home . That excepted I was really pleased with it - soooo much better than my 200tdi (sorry James) holding a steady 60 (legal) with about 2 tonnes on the trailer.

Great photos guys, we didn’t get to RWB but had a good time all the same, we took our German Land Rover friends to see Maurice Wilks grave today which was a bit of a challenge given the width of the lane to the small church and the fact that we were in a D3

Just made it home tonight in the 107" Station Wagon.
Anglesey and that beach: Click image to enlarge Then I took it back to where it spent most of its British Railways working life. Shame about the work going on in front of the station. Click image to enlarge Then I went to this factory today, near Uttoxeter. I had last visited it in 1965!! Click image to enlarge Then a long trek home in the heat. You can see the salt from Red Wharf Bay on the tyres. The only thing that broke was a brand new speedometer, which expired on the M6 last night. Click image to enlarge All in all, a nice trip. |
