2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey

Manchester Airport

firstly many thanks to Busboy who offered to assist with my Heathrow parking......

....we're now going from Manchester

can anyone recommend options for parking? probably just me but I'm finding it hard to justify spending over £100 for parking for a week.

I've had a look but will keep searching for the moment.

we have relatives not too many miles away so it might be a taxi in from theirs but there's some concern over how reliable that might be?

Jet Parks 1 & 2 are both Defender friendly with no height restrictions. Or at least that was the case last year

think I'm getting old, grumpy and reluctant to part with cash.....

best part of £100 to park the car for a week or park 15 miles away at a relatives and pay £75 quid return for a taxi

is it just me?

If the car parks are secure then your paying £25 for peace of mind.

I was down there recently on a fishing trip to Russia . I still had the Discovery and if I remember correctly I used car park over next to the hotel ... Think it was a premier Inn ? Maybe car park 2 ? A bus runs round and takes you to whatever terminal your going to every 10 minutes . Anyway they were nice big spacious car parks for a week I think it was about £100 ish .
Didn't mind paying that at all really as they seemed secure .

One thing I would say though is the roadwork at Manchester Airport are really bad just now so add extra time to your travel plans to accommodate them . 2006 DEFENDER 90 TD5 CSW XS

We generally use APH - the carpark is handy for the motorway and the have very frequent shuttles to the airport. Last time we flew out of Manchester we got a deal with them for hotel the night before and parking for not much more than the parking. As it was an early flight it beat stressing about getting stuck in rush hour traffic hands down.
