I would go for that one James. Reasonable estimate, looks like it's never been painted and the bulkhead looks OK from what you can see. Well worth spending some money on it to get it roadworthy, and then you'll be able to trundle round Suffolk and get people smiling at you and coming to speak to you at petrol stations! |

A friendly call from the auctioneers saying despite going in near the top of the estimate, they won't take my bid as they've had substantial interest at much higher bids already Not surprised.
They expect over two thousand visitors today I think I'm going to have to visit the next auction in August as they have some amazing vehicles. Sale prices should be available online on Tuesday. No I wasn't after it I posted it here, For the interest of other members. The consensus seemed to be that the price was OK because of its excellent looking condition.
Prices should be posted in a couple of days, if I remember I will update the thread. Worryingly I fear seeds may have been sown! Brian |

Makes me now wonder if a bog-standard SIII soft top can fetch that, what could a much rarer A-prefix Ninety County Station Wagon fetch? Or maybe the "collectors" just don't like coilers...... |

I think the “collectors” will eventually come around to the early Ninety and One Ten’s. Who would have thought ten years ago that a S111 would be worth that money. I was at a car show in the Lake District on Sunday with my 1985 V8 soft top, I had a couple of guys come over for a chat who were interested in buying an original early coiler. Also one of the guys who works at the Lakeland Motor Museum, came over for a chat, they have an A plate 110 fire engine which they are going to restore so the interest is gaining momentum albeit slowly.
